Proverbs 10: 15-16 “The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty. The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.” 1 Timothy 6:17 “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;” Look up Psalm 52:1-7. While all of these verses talk about money, it is never mentioned in the Bible that it is wrong to have money. In 1 Timothy 5:8, it even mentions that we should be providing for our family which would include having money. The problem comes when we are trusting money more than God. That does not mean that we can go quit our job and trust God to take care of us, but if we are doing what we can, then He promises to take care of our needs in Philippians 4:19.
