Pastor Jason Watford
Pastor Jason Watford was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1980. He was saved at the age of twelve at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the preaching of Bro. Dave Roberson later that week he surrendered to preach at a Youth Camp. Pastor Watford began growing in the Lord under the leadership of Dr. B. G. Buchanan while attending Central Baptist Church and School. After graduating high school in 1998, Pastor attended Hyles-Anderson College where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Theology.
Pastor Jason Watford married his high school sweetheart, Kelli, in 2000 and they have 4 children together: Kaden, Kelcie, Kylee and Kinsey.
After graduating from Hyles-Anderson College in 2002, he went to Open Door Baptist Church in McComb, Mississippi, where he served as the Youth Pastor. In 2006, Pastor Watford went to Jacksonville, Arkansas to serve as Youth Pastor at Bible Baptist Church. While there he helped build the youth ministry, bus ministry, and taught an adult Sunday school class. He received his Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Pastoral Theology, and eventually became the Vice President of Bethel Baptist College. All of these ministries grew under his direction and leadership.
He came to Pastor Spring Creek Baptist Church of Seven Springs, North Carolina in July of 2013.
Since that time, our church has started a Missions Program and is supporting 27 missionaries around the globe. In 2017 we brought on Miss Sara Fish as our first sending Missionary to the Dominican Republic. During our “2-K Sunday” campaign, we had a record attendance of 2384. We have started over 25 ministries in the past 7 years! Some of those include; Bus Pick-up, Upward Sports, Visitation, Nursing Home Services, Teen Outreach, and Youth at Heart! On February 23, 2020, we had our Groundbreaking service for our new auditorium. We are planning on having our Grand Opening Service on October 11 and have our first conference from October 11-14. God is greatly blessing the efforts of His people as we strive together to serve Him. We are thankful that God sent Pastor Watford and his family to Seven Springs, North Carolina.
